The mission of the Foundation Diet and Health Switzerland: objective, scientific information on health, nutrition, and sustainability.
The facts speak for themselves: a properly implemented, plant-based diet promotes your health, supports the prevention of chronic diseases, and is more sustainable and animal-friendly than a mixed diet. We show that a climate-friendly, plant-based diet can be not only healthy and sustainable, but also delicious and practical for everyday life.
The team at the Swiss Foundation for Health and Nutrition is committed to providing objective and scientifically sound information on health, nutrition, sustainable lifestyles, and the prevention of lifestyle diseases.
Independence: We are a non-profit organization and pursue no commercial interests. The foundation does not sell any products and remains free from industrial influence.
Fact-based information: Our content is based on verifiable scientific findings from medicine, nutritional science, and environmental research. We avoid trends and focus on enduring principles.
Transparency: We highlight the connections between lifestyle and lifestyle diseases without resorting to simplistic generalizations.
In a world full of contradictory nutritional advice and health promises, we provide guidance. Our vision is a society that acts autonomously through knowledge — for a long, healthy life, a sustainable future, and conscious consumer behavior. What is truly important, and what has little effect? To what extent do we have control over our health, and how much are we determined by our genes? Which genetic predispositions do we alter through our behavior? We answer these questions. I write about my personal motivation for founding the Foundation for Health and Nutrition in the article “A Life-Changing Circumstances, Fatal Illness, Health, Life!”
I wish you good health, or the path that leads to it.
Sincerely,
Ernst Erb (President of the Foundation - see YouTube)
